Threefold Law

The so-called Threefold Law was NOT created by Gerald Gardner in its popular form (which is "what you do, comes back to you Threefold").  Therefore it is not part of initiatory Wicca.

 

The actual text (from the second degree initiation) is "Thou hast obeyed the law. But mark well, when thou receivest good, so equally art bound to return good threefold."

 

It doesn’t say ANYTHING about it being a law of the universe that what you do comes back threefold.
