Pagan chaplains in the military

Page history last edited by PBworks 12 years, 4 months ago

The MOD denies that there are any Pagans in the Armed Forces (but would probably consider having a chaplain if any identified themselves).  I have met two Pagans serving in the UK armed forces, but I am not sure whether they are still serving.  There must be more out there somewhere.

The US military chaplains' handbook has contained information on Wicca and Paganism for some years now, but a recent attempt by a serving chaplain to switch to Wiccan affiliation resulted in him being sent home from Iraq.

There has also been a successful campaign to allow Pagan and Wiccan veterans' headstones to display a pentagram.
