Contemporary Pagans do not practice animal sacrifice; however they do make offerings of food (such as cakes) and drink to deities and spirits.  In Heathenry, such an offering is called a blót. In Wicca, it is called a libation. Offerings are also made by practitioners of Religio Romana.
