1. Name (optional):

2. Age: 37

3. Nationality: American (Californian)

4. Gender: male

5. How would you explain your path to someone else with no knowledge of it?

Shamanism. I seek contact with the spirit world. I believe that we all connect to the cosmos through a series of spirits. Animals, men, mythic creatures, all have their place in this web of life. Any spirit on the higher planes who is connected to us will help us so the whole can grow. Spiritual development leads to personal development. Being the best me I can be.

6. How is your path expressed in practice?

I journey, both to the outer world of the spirits and the inner world of my heart. Once there I learn from experiences of metaphors or whatever my guides decide to use to help me grow. It's kinda like meditation. Each lesson is like a drop of water in the ocean. It takes time and patience.

7. How do you know if your practice is successful?

Faith. Also, people I know keep noticing I have changed.

8. Why have you chosen the particular path you are following?

It spoke to me.

9. What is your experience of otherworld beings? Could you give some examples.

I have spirit guides who help me work through the challenges of spiritual growth. They help, but in their own fashion. Other entities have come and gone in my life, and for the most part we just acknowledge and move on. For some reason I don't deal much with hostile entities.

10. How do you see your relationship with them?

See #9

11. How does your path relate to other areas of your life?

It all connects. As I face the fears of my life, or otherwise grow spiritually, I become a more calm and balanced person. I become easier to deal with and enjoy the experiences more.

12. How do you see the relationship of life and death?

Circular. Each life is a chance to grow in power and wisdom. Whatever lesson we choose to learn (or need to) reflects not just on us, but the cosmos itself. As we grow in each life we become more real in the cosmic sense. Old souls have that wisdom i hope to one day possess.

13. How do you see time?

Still working on that

14. How do you handle ideas of good and evil?

Good and evil come from the world of man. Anything out there that is evil is there because we projected it there.

15. How do you view different spaces and objects in your practice or experience?

The circle is protection from the curious during spellwork. Everything else has its uses, but is optional.

16. How do you feel about other religions?

As long as it is hearfelt, it's okay (possably even good if it leads to growth)

17. How do you feel about science?

It has its place. The only real limit of science is repetition. A scientist has to be able to see the results. Some things only work once we are ready, and so not just anyone can replicate the results.

18. How do you feel modern Paganisms relate to ancient paganisms?

It takes not being the dominant religion to accept other views as legitimate. It also takes a certain open-mindedness to be ready when a better path comes along. Both difficult in ancient religions where one set of ideas was taught.
